How we spend your money
Under the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011, Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) must determine how much money is taken from council tax (known as the ‘precept’) and set the force budget.
It is the role of the PCC to make sure the Police has the necessary resources to meet policing demands and support local communities.
