PCC Clare Moody to question Chief Constable on investigations, including missing people

Clare Moody, Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), will be questioning Chief Constable Sarah Crew on the performance of Avon and Somerset Police during a live session on 16th April at 12:00 pm. The Police Question Time (PQT) event will be live streamed on Facebook and LinkedIn.
This month’s PQT will focus on questions around investigations of crimes, with a particular focus on missing person investigations. The latest report from His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS) graded Avon and Somerset Police’s crime investigations as “Requires Improvement.”
As outlined in PCC Clare Moody’s Police and Crime Plan, Priority five aims to improve policing standards. During this upcoming PQT, Clare will be addressing concerns about missing persons cases, delays in investigations, and the overall quality of police work in these areas.
