The volunteers reviewing police complaints on behalf of the public

The Independent Scrutiny of Police Complaints Panel (ISoPCP) is run by the OPCC. It consists of 11 independent panel members who are all volunteers representing the communities of Avon and Somerset.

They provide feedback on completed complaint files to our office and Avon and Somerset Police’s Professional Standards Department (PSD). They review complaints against the police from a local citizen’s viewpoint.

Their recent meeting focused on the theme of complaints relating to Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).
