PCC questions Chief Constable on road safety and rape statistics
Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Clare Moody held ‘Police Question Time’ last week.
Police Question Time is where PCC Clare Moody puts questions to the Chief Constable Sarah Crew. The session scrutinises the delivery and performance of policing across the region.
During September’s session, PCC Clare Moody questioned Chief Constable Sarah Crew on road safety and the increasing statistics surrounding the crime of rape.
Questions were opened up to the public on road safety, one came from Tony in Frome and the other from Mudfords Community Speed Watch, concerning speeding.
The questions on rape were addressed for two reasons, one being the significant increase in reported rapes in the last year, and secondly there was a national inspectorate report published last month on this topic.
