Would you be happy to pay an additional amount of council tax towards policing? If so, how much?

  • No increase would mean significant savings will need to be made in the budgets for 2022/23, resulting in a reduction of services.

  • A 2% increase would be approximately 40p per month (£4.82 for the year) more for a band D household. This would still mean that some savings need to be made in the budgets for 2022/23, resulting in some reduction of service.

  • A 4.1% increase would be approximately 83p per month (£10 for the year) more for a band D household. At this level it is less likely savings which impact on frontline services will be needed in 2022/23.

Taking this information into account how much more, if any, would you be willing to pay each month through the police precept?
