Police tax survey

The Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) is responsible for setting the amount of money you contribute to local policing through your council tax bill (known as the ‘precept’).

This survey is now closed.

Local policing is funded by a combination of Home Office and other grants, as well as your council tax contributions.

The Government has told PCCs that they can raise the policing part of the precept next year by £15 for a band D household (equivalent to 6%).

Before setting next year’s precept your PCC, Mark Shelford, would like your opinion on whether you support this increase.

This survey ends on 30 January 2023.
